| | | MY Project USA Has Made An Impact of $38 Million in Columbus Together We Built A Legacy of Hope & Prosperity For All. We served More Than 300,000 People In 9 Years Your Continued Support Will Enable Us Protecting & Empowering More Dear Family, Salams & Peace! Due to technical problems with our email software, I have not been able to send a newsletter since the first week of Ramadan. This has been resolved and I have so much to share with you. During our time away, we celebrated Easter and Eid Al Fitr and we are now getting ready to celebrate Eid Al Adha in just three weeks. This has been a unique time of celebration along with grief. While many in America and around the world were celebrating Easter, our Christian brothers and sisters in Palestine were not able to celebrate due to ongoing bombing on them. And our Muslim brothers and sisters were fasting while in a famine due to food and water shortage during Ramadan. This will be the case again at the time of Eid Al Adha since we are still not seeing any sign of ceasefire in the Middle East. As we are hurting and praying for our children and families in Gaza and throughout Palestine, unfortunately, we are also dealing with some serious issues here in our local communities. As you choose to support families abroad, I would also like to request you to please remember the unfortunate kids and families here in your local community as well. MY Project USA saw significant growth in programs and served over 125,000 individuals just in the last year. See the video above about our full impact. While mostly funded by grants, there are four areas where we are in serious need of community support: - Hot meals for kids in our youth programs and community
- Rent & utilities for families in need to save them from being evicted
- Workforce development/job training for unemployed, marginalized women and single mothers
- Indoor recreation and community space for at-risk youth & families a.k.a. Issa Jeylani Memorial Recreation Center
Please give as much of you can. Your investment will go a long way. We are zakat eligible and tax exempted. May God bless you more with His bounties and accept all your prayers and charity always. In solidarity with youth & families, Zerqa Abid Founder, President & Executive Director |

| | | | MY Helpline: MY Project USA Saved Two Families From Being Evicted This Month Your Helps Us Keep Families In Their Homes Thanks to your generous donations, we were recently able to help two families avoid eviction! We also were able to pay their utility bills and get them set up with necessary essentials. Thank you to all who pitched in to help! Please continue to donate so we can help more families in need. We have been working very hard in securing grants and building collaboration with other partners to help our clients, but none of the grants or agencies are helping with this need currently. | | | | U10 Hilltop Tigers Win OCL League Tournament! Congrats to our U10 and U12 Hilltop Tigers teams, and their Coaches Mohamed Ahmed "Speedy" and Bashir Ahmed for winning the Ohio Champions League (OCL) tournament this week! Each team played a total of 4 games and their hard work and dedication made this win an easy reality! Beyond winning the tournament, the true victory for all of the players in the Hilltop Tigers Club is staying away from gangs, drugs, guns, violence and other troubles on their streets. We are so proud of each of them and are so grateful to all of our funders and donors. This year the Hilltop Tigers Soccer Club is made possible partially by grants from the Ohio Department of Education, Franklin County, and State of Ohio. Donations from the community and smaller grants from several foundations and charity funds help us cover all the turfs. Thank you for being a part of our Village. Our Hilltop Youth Soccer League is starting on June 11th. We hope to recruit more than 300 youth in Hilltop this year through our league. Your support to this league will go a long way in protecting and empowering each one of them. Please donate generously. If you own a business, please check the sponsorship opportunities as well. |
