MY Deah's Warehouse Donation Bins Locations | | | | $45 Million Impact in 10 Years! Join MYPUSA in Making a Tangible Difference! Dear Family, We have now completed our 10 year report and we have great news: Our family, THIS VILLAGE, has made an impact of $45 millions in Central Ohio. We served more than 500,000 clients in 10 years. Together, we have successfully curbed the pipeline to gangs and drugs in the Wedgewood Village Apartments on the westside of Columbus and we have turned those at-risk youth into soccer champions through our Hilltop Tigers Soccer Club. Following are additional milestones/highlights: - served 500,000+ clients through various services
- brought $30 million in to the community through in-kind donations
- passed 5.5 million meals and snacks worth $27.5 million to fight food insecurity.
- invested $4 million in 450 contractors and employees by creating jobs and projects for them.
- invested $1.3 million in capital upgrades and property to enhance the neighborhood.
- invested $3.5 million dollars to protect and empower 220,000 youth.
- invested $2.5 million dollars to address the basic needs of 200,000 clients.
- provided $150,000 of free vaccinations and health screenings.
- empowered more than 750 youth as leaders and advocates for their community
I am truly humbled by these numbers that we compiled over the years from the day one of MY Iftar Kitchen, MY Eid Toys drive and food pantry drive from my kitchen in Hilliard 10 years ago. I am now looking forward for us making bigger impacts through MYP Social Ventures Partnership. We are not a startup organization anymore. In last 10 years, we have mastered our services in many areas and can deliver more efficient and cost-effective outcomes to more clients in broader communities. We are now investing strategically in human capital for tangible, scalable and replicable outcomes. If you haven't joined yet, please do so now. I will see you at our 10th Anniversary Gala. We will collect the items from the bins weekly (or more frequently as needed) and sort them in our warehouse. Once organized, we offer the items for free to clients in the communities we serve. Some items are also sold at Global Gifts & Thrift, a retail location in Hilliard that is based on the Goodwill model. All proceeds of these sales go toward funding our programs. Our organization will ensure that the area around the bins remains clean. Please contact Nasir Shinwari at (614) 905-0977 with questions or if you are interested in partnering with us.
