At MY Project USA, we don’t just provide aid – we create change.

Meet MK, a youth from Wedgewood who grew up in a violent, troubled neighborhood with no positive outlet or future outlook. At 8 years old, MK joined MY Project USA through the Hilltop Tigers soccer team, which sparked a life-changing transformation. Now a soccer coach for the Hilltop Tigers, MK mentors kids like himself, striving to be a big brother figure and show them the power of hard work and perseverance.

After the tragic loss of his best friend, Issa Jeylani, to gun violence, MK struggled in school but found support through MY Project USA's educational programs, including APEX, which helped him graduate with his class. Proud to be financially independent since 16, MK is determined to make a positive impact on his community, and he’s proud when he shares his impact with his mom. Supporting MY Project USA means empowering youth like MK, who just need a little belief and investment to unlock their potential.
