MY Family Pantry Provides Relief in a Food Desert 72,000 Individuals Saved From Food Insecurity Since January! In light of the recent changes affecting our food assistance programs, MY Project USA has seen a significant increase in the need for support. Since January, we've served 18,644 families, impacting 72,000 individuals. This summer alone, 4,496 families received help, including 7,000 children, totaling 20,000 individuals. In June, through our Mid Ohio Market and MY Community Cafe, we provided 130,000 meals to about 10,000 people, including 4,000 children. However, with the end of our 5-year contract with Mid Ohio Food Collective, which will now only provide food and not cover operational costs, we're facing a critical challenge. Our neighborhood is a food desert with no alternative food markets, and our zip code is classified as food insecure. We urgently need assistance to cover rent and employee salaries to keep our pantry operational and continue serving those in need. How can our community support MY Project USA in ensuring that we maintain our crucial services and continue to provide food to families in need? DONATE. Donate whatever you can to help us continue to serve the most vulnerable of our community. The MPUSA village is a strong and powerful one, and we call on you all now to help us keep this program going! In solidarity with youth and families, Zerqa Abid |

Hilltop Tigers U12 Wins MLS GO All Stars Challenge! The Hilltop Tigers took part in the MLS GO All Stars week and our U12 team won the All Stars challenge! We are SO proud of our hard working soccer players and their dedicated, supportive and passionate coaches! These kids have all the potential in the world and we are blessed, humbled and proud to be a part of their legacy! The Hilltop Tigers soccer team and the Hilltop Youth Soccer League was created to help keep at-risk kids off the streets and give them a safe, productive outlet. Since its conception, the league has helped save hundreds of youth from gangs, violence, drugs and more. All of our players work hard to not only excel in soccer, but also in school. Our kids have had opportunities to train with players from the Columbus Crew, take part in MLS events, and many have gone on to play in bigger leagues. Help us save more youth by donating to our soccer program and to the Issa Jeylani Memorial Recreation center, which will give kids a safe indoors place to play. |

Summer Meal Funds Have Depleted $15,000 Needed To Continue Meals For The Rest Of The Summer MY Project USA provides more than 100 meals per day to students participating in our youth programs. For many students, these are the only healthy meals they eat. We know that food security is vital for protecting youth, because hungry kids are easy prey. At this point in time, we have run out of funds. Please help us continue providing these kids healthy, hot halal meals by donating to our summer meals program. Every dollar helps! |
