This Giving Tuesday, #Give4Issa!

We Are Doing These 3 Things For Issa. You Can Help!!!

Your End of Year Donations Can Go A Long Way!

Issa's Peace Patio & Recreation Center will Save Hundreds of Lives & Futures

Dear Family,

Happy Giving Tuesday!

As you know this year has been bittersweet for us. While it has truly been a year of growth and success for the organization, it has also been the saddest and hardest year for me personally and for many of my team members. Issa’s tragic death has broken our hearts and has left scars on our souls. We will never forget him. We have decided to turn our pain into purpose to keep his legacy alive for years to come. We are committed to lead our youth and families to a better, safer, and more prosperous tomorrow.

We are grateful to the Jeyalni family for allowing us to launch mutual projects in Issa’s name to benefit the entire community. These projects will work specifically to empower and protect Columbus youth from drugs abuse and violence. The first three projects in Issa’s name are as follows:

  1. Issa Jeylani Hero Annual Award and Scholarship
  2. Issa’s Peace Patio & Garden at the Hilltop Youth Empowerment Center
  3. Issa Jeylani Memorial Recreation Center in Hilltop

For the first two items, we believe we have enough support to deliver. For the Recreation Center, we need at least $1M from acquiring a place in the Hilltop and turning it into a safe, accessible place for children and families round the year.  This is a huge undertaking for our organization. We know it be a lot of hard work for us, but it's totally worth it.

While we are seeking at least $750,000 from grants and corporate funding, we must raise at least $250,000 from the public donations.

We ask you to consider us as your recipient for this #GivingTuesday and for all of your end of year donations.  Your monthly and/or yearly donations help sustain MY Project USA’s impactful work and allow us to continue finding new ways to serve our community. Please consider becoming a valued partner of our organization.

In Solidarity with Youth & Families,

Zerqa Abid,

Founder & Executive Director
