| | | Hilltop Tigers: Continuously Winning Against All Odds!! Congratulations to our Hilltop Tigers! 🏆🎉 U13 took home first place in their category, and U11 earned second place at this weekend’s soccer tournament at The_Cage_Ohio! Proud of all the hard work and dedication from our teams! These youth continue to prove that a little investment goes a long way! They consistently triumph over better-funded and better-trained teams, and they silence hate by simply doing their best and WINNING! Their resilience, determination, and teamwork inspire us all, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments! This is how OUR VILLAGE protects and empowers our YOUTH! |
| | | "We have seen a lot of attacks on Facebook and other social media platforms," said Zerqa Abid, a volunteer since founding the group more than a decade ago to help refugees in the Hilltop. "We are calling for unity, we are calling for kinship." The social media bullying is one of the reasons MY Project USA is now hosting a series of meetings with lawmakers, community, and faith leaders to foster dialogue about immigration. "When we don’t talk to each other, people don’t understand what kind of talent and contribution we are bringing," said Abid. "Unless we are one community, we cannot help one another." |
| | | Youth Iftar with MY Leaders, Somali Student Association, and NAIMA! What an incredible Youth Iftar celebration we had on Friday! A sincere thank you to the Somali Student Association at Ohio State and NAIMA for their collaboration in creating a night filled with inspiration, joy, and connection. Yusuf Hade, Idil Ali, and Fatima Shauri from SSA led an insightful conversation during our student panel and played a crucial role in keeping the audience engaged. On the organizing side, we're incredibly grateful to Dr. Mahmood Khan from NAIMA for bringing youth from his organization and delivering an uplifting speech about the significance of Ramadan. A big shoutout to our MY Leaders Lab coordinators, Alina Hussain and Bashir Ahmed, for their outstanding leadership and commitment to putting t events that continuously empower and inspire our youth. We are beyond grateful for this amazing community today and always! |
| | | Zakat ul Fitr Goal: Groceries for 200 Families! Help us provide Zakat ul Fitr groceries to 200 families this Ramadan! Zakat ul Fitr is a required charity before Eid prayers, estimated at $15 per person this year. Food will be distributed on March 28th. Our deadline to collect Zakatul Fitr is March 26 or reaching our goal of $6000. |
| | | This Eid, Let's Celebrate Our Youth at MY Project USA! For 11 years, MY Project USA has had an annual Eid Toy Drive where we give presents to local children in the Hilltop area. This year, we are shifting focus to the youth in our programs who have worked tirelessly to change their lives and uplift their community. Help us honor their hard work and dedication by contributing to our Toy Drive! Your support will make their Eid extra special! |
| | | Final Days for MY Iftar Kitchen! Don't Miss Your Chance to Feed the Needy this Ramadan! We’re in the final week of the MY Iftar Kitchen, and slots are filling up fast! Don’t miss your chance to earn rewards for feeding those in need this Ramadan. The last day for MY Iftar Kitchen is Friday, March 28. We are truly humbled to serve our community and deeply grateful to everyone who has joined us in this effort. Our daily goal is to provide 100-125 meals, and we’ve been consistently surpassing this target! But we still need your help to continue feeding those in need through these final days of Ramadan. Parents, this is a wonderful opportunity to bring your children along and teach them the value of giving back, especially during this blessed month. Sign up to cook, pack, or distribute meals, or consider donating to help us cater food through MY Community Cafe. Together, we can continue earning immense rewards by supporting our community and providing food to the less fortunate. Thank you for your continued generosity and support! |
| | | | Support Our Neighbors at MY Project USA’s Warming Center Every day, MY Project USA’s Warming Center provides shelter, warmth, and hope to those in need. Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to serve over 160 meals daily to individuals facing homelessness. But we need your help to continue making a difference. How You Can Help: - Meal Donations: Help provide meals for our guests. Your generosity ensures they’re nourished and reminded they’re not forgotten.
- Monetary Donations: Contribute to MY Community Cafe, which caters daily meals to our warming center guests.
- Snack Bags: Purchase items from our Amazon Wishlist to provide essential snacks for guests throughout the day.
Every donation, big or small, shows our guests they matter. Let’s come together to provide care, compassion, and community for those who need it most. Thank you for being the heart of our mission! |
