Columbus Crew Interviews Our Hilltop Tigers

The Columbus Crew recently conducted interviews with our Hilltop Tigers including a young student, Solomon, as part of their initiative to celebrate Black History Month. The Crew's engagement with Solomon highlights their commitment to supporting and uplifting youth from diverse backgrounds. Through these interviews, the Crew aims to offer guidance and inspiration to young athletes like Solomon, fostering their growth both on and off the field. This personalized approach underscores the Crew's dedication to making a positive impact in the community by empowering young individuals to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.

Families Feeding Families

The Iftar Kitchen holds a special place in the hearts of many, symbolizing not just a meal but a cherished tradition of togetherness and generosity. As the sun sets and the call to prayer echoes through the air during the holy month of Ramadan, the Iftar Kitchen becomes a beacon of warmth and hospitality, welcoming all to partake in the breaking of the fast. With its rich history and cultural significance, the Iftar Kitchen serves as a gathering place where friends, family, and strangers alike come together to share in the blessings of Ramadan and experience the joy of community.

Join us this year and volunteer for one or all of our 4 weeks of Iftar Kitchen here at the Hilltop Empowerment Center.

You can either help bring cooked food to local families or make a financial contribution to support the cost of ordering the food to feed those in the community who may not have the necessary ingredients to prepare for their Iftar dinners.

What better way to serve Allah than by helping His less fortunate people? Please help in any way you can. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

This year we aim to feed 100-125 people a day during Ramadan, and this is not possible without your help and cooperation!

We will be receiving, packing, and distributing food at our Hilltop Youth Empowerment Center at 3275 Sullivant Ave. Community members are encouraged to work with each other to make such arrangements for themselves.

If you would like to donate money, this is the cost of food if we have it made:
• Large Tray of Chicken – $120
• Large Tray of Rice – $75
• Large Tray of Cooked Mixed Vegetables – $65
• Box of Dates – $50
• Cookies/Brownies – $5

Mid-Ohio Market at MY Project USA powered by MY Family Pantry

Every week, over 600 local families visit our doors, where we provide nourishing food and resources thanks to our partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC). Your generous donations directly help us serve more of our neighbors in need. By contributing, you become part of our mission to care for families right here in our hometown. We invite you to join us and watch your gift multiply as it fills empty cups and plates across the county. Together, we can make a difference.

Rent & Utility Assistance

Through the generosity of our community donors, we can offer emergency assistance for families in need of housing or utility payment assistance. If you know someone in need contact help@myprojectusa.org for more information.

Drop Off In-Kind Donation Locations

MY Project USA is searching for more locations across central Ohio where people can leave their donations of new and gently used clothes, shoes, books, toys, and other small non-breakable items. We need your support!

We will collect the items from the bins weekly (or more frequently as needed) and sort them in our warehouse. Once organized, we offer the items for free to clients in the communities we serve. Some items are also sold at Global Gifts & Thrift, a retail location in Hilliard that is based on the Goodwill model. All proceeds of these sales go toward funding our programs.

Our organization will ensure that the area around the bins remains clean. Please contact Noorullah Shinwari at (614) 817-9159 with questions or if you are interested in partnering with us. Thank you!
