Dear Family,

Today is the DAY!!!

As I am heading out to attend the graduations of our Sharmarke, Mukumbira and Mageney today, I want to remind you that this was not possible without your support and your presence in our village. They did it, because we did what we were supposed to do. We did it because you were there to support. This is the team work that not only kept hundreds of children away from drugs and gangs but also helped these youth to graduate from high school.

On this blessed Friday, I ask you to keep them in your prayers and continue supporting them and others through your donations to MY Project USA. This newsletter is packed with actions that you can take to support these youth and families in need right here in your own backyard.

Happy Eid-ul-Adha to all celebrating!!! May you have a wonderful time with your family and loved ones and all your prayers and sacrifices be accepted.

In solidarity with youth & families,

Zerqa Abid,

Founder & Executive Director,

MY Project USA

There are 24 teams and about 300 kids participating in this year's Summer League! Volunteers are needed throughout the season (Mondays and Wednesdays) to help with set up, take down, and during games. MY Summer Expedition Off To A Great Start!

Students Visit Numerous Ohio Landmarks

The MY Summer Expedition program kicked off on Monday, June 10 with a fun packed trip to Franklin Park Conservatory! Students also made trips to the Ohio Caverns and Hocking Hill. They learned about the environment, the insects and animals that sustain it, the geography of Ohio, and more. Week 1 was a blast!

For more timely updates on the summer program, follow along on our Instagram and Facebook.

This year’s MY Summer Expedition program is funded in part by grants from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and the Franklin County Board of Commissioners.

MY Leaders Summer Lab Orientation

Sessions Starting June 17!

MY Leaders Summer Lab orientation took place on June 10. Parents and students learned what the program entails and all the ways it can help them - whether to round out their college applications, resumes, or just to learn leadership and advocacy skills that will carry them through life.

A second orientation will take place on Monday, June 17 at 5:00 PM, followed by the first session at 6:00 PM. If you have not yet registered your kids, there is still time! Do not miss out on this amazing opportunity!
